Dear Friends,
I would like to thank you for stopping by our church’s website. As a congregation we have recently celebrated our 225th anniversary of ministry and mission. During the last year we have also completed an addition to our building. As you look at the various activities taking place, I would invite you to come and visit us. We are located just off Route 22 (about 5 miles east of Delmont, PA).
This is an exciting time in our ongoing history. We are seeking to discover what new and creative avenues of ministry and mission that we might provide to utilize our new space. Our website provides information on the various activities taking place in the life of our church family. Our theme for our 225th celebrating was “cherishing the past, celebrating the present and being challenged for the future”.
I remember when my children were little, teaching them the little song with our hands that goes: “Here is the Church, here’s the steeple and open the doors you see all the people.” In my mind that little rhyme sums up what we are to be about—the church is the building yes, but most importantly it is the people… people who journey together discovering their gifts and talents and avenues through which we can reach out to others with the Good News of God’s love shown to us in Jesus Christ.
I would invite you to come and journey with us.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. H. Clifton Foster
